Invitation to CryoSymp 2017
The 3rd ISHS International Symposium on Plant Cryopreservation (CryoSymp2017)
will be held in Cayo Guillermo, Ciego de Ávila (Cuba) from 22 to 26 May, 2017. This is a continuation of the Symposiums held in Leuven, April, 2009 (Belgium), and in Fort Collins, Colorado, August, 2013 (USA).

and will be co-organized together with the 11th International Congress on Plant Biotechnology and Agriculture BioVeg2017
All scientists, students and professionals interested in cryobiology and ex situ plant preservation are invited to attend. The symposium will include in depth analyses of basic research in the cryobiology of living cells as well as reports on state-of-the-art methods, research and successes with cryopreservation of selected horticultural and agricultural crops.
The program will include oral and posters sessions on topics dealing with fundamental aspects of cryobiology as well as with the application of cryopreservation in germplasm collections. The symposium will focus on presentations of selected topics, keynote addresses on cryopreservation of plants, discussions and interaction around poster presentations. Moreover, one day will be dedicated to practical session at Bioplantas Center, University of Ciego de Avila.

Participants interested in presenting lectures and/or posters to CryoSymp2017 should submit Abstracts until January 25, 2017 using ROSA - Responsive Online System for Acta Horticulturae submission and review at link URL

The Organizing Committee will decide whether the presentation will be included in the Programme and whether it will be presented orally or as a poster.
The abstract should contain a concise and comprehensive statement of the problem, the results of research and solutions. All submitted abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee, and acceptance will be communicated to the authors before February 10, 2017. All accepted Abstracts of registered participants will be published in the abstract book which will be distributed to all registered participants at the symposium. The author instructions on how to prepare a contribution for Acta Horticulturae are available from the ISHS website
ISHS online submission and review tool guidelines for authors
ISHS members will not be charged for the submission of abstracts. Therefore authors must be members of the ISHS prior to submission of the abstract.

The registration fee includes:
• Full registration fee includes access to all (scientific and practical) sessions, book of abstracts, a volume of Acta Horticulturae with papers of all contributions, congress bag and name badge, welcome cocktail, coffee breaks and farewell dinner during the meeting.
• One-day registration includes all benefits of the regular rates during 1 day except for the Acta Horticulturae.
The fee does not include:
• Transport, meal and accommodation.
• There will be no refund for services that have not been used.
